“I have always had a fascination with doors and their ability to act as barriers, transitions, and access all at the same time. As a threshold and entrance into to the built experience and the first impression of a building, I believe they should be beautiful and inspiring.”
Emily is driven to work with all users from the onset of the design process through construction in order to create inspiring teaching and learning spaces for all users: students, teachers, administration and other staff. With an eye for detail, she considers architecture to be a craft; a process that creates both function and beauty in order to benefit the everyday lives of countless students and teachers.
Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from University of Cincinnati, and her Master of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is a registered architect in Washington.
