Sweet Home Health Clinic

Many residents in the rural community of Sweet Home, Oregon were facing access challenges due to age, lack of transportation, and limited local health care services.

Upon opening in 2023, Samaritan Health Services’ new Sweet Home Health Clinic has expanded access to care through providing Primary Care, Urgent Care, Dental Services, Retail Pharmacy, and Wellness Services in the heart of Sweet Home.

The 17,500 SF medical center has become a source of pride in delivering consistent access to reliable, patient-centered whole health care to all members of the community.

The single-story construction evokes the character of the community and a warm and inviting care environment. Wood products from the local timber industry are showcased throughout, including the exposed Dowel-Laminated Timber and Glu-Lam Beam structure that welcomes patients to the facility. The central entry / check-in simplifies patient wayfinding and access to services.

Rooting patients and staff to place, the clinic is infused with daylight and views to the natural world beyond. Care Team Stations, affectionately nicknamed “Wolf Dens,” offer direct access to patients, facilitate collaboration, and provide staff respite. The 4.2 acre site includes a helipad, ensuring that local rescue units have a safe place to land.
