Jesse is a highly experienced architect and passionate leader in sustainable, low-carbon, and high-performance design, with more than 20 years of experience serving educational clients in the Pacific Northwest. Committed to creating sustainable, healthy spaces for learners of all ages, he specializes in maximizing energy efficiency in all his work. As a senior project architect, Jesse drives operational and embodied design performance and is an office-wide leader in building envelope design, energy code compliance, construction documentation, and administration. He is deeply committed to mentoring emerging professionals and sharing his technical knowledge of the profession.
Serving as the 2026 Senior Fellow on Operational Carbon for Architecture 2030, Jesse directly supports their “Beyond the Numbers” initiative and mission to rapidly transform the built environment from the major emitter of greenhouse gases to a central solution to the climate crisis. He served as 2024-2025 Co-Chair of the AIA 2030 Working Group – a group that provides strategic direction for the AIA 2030 Commitment. Holding a Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, Jesse is a registered architect in Washington, LEED Accredited Professional, and former Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC).
